Located in the heart of Italy, in the valleys of the Province of Perugia in Umbria region not far from Rome, this fairy-tale venue is the perfect castle to celebrate a romantic wedding in Italy. With a banqueting capacity of 250 guests.

Castle Montignano is a compound of medieval buildings from the 16th century, surrounded by the magical rolling hills of a thousand hues of the Italian countryside.

Civil Weddings may be celebrated in the village inside the castle , and the inside of the Castle offes a unique and  inviting blending of history and first class modern design. It features old arches, stone walls, and ground floors halls, one of which displays an impressive fireplace that dates back to the Middle Ages.

Castello Montignano in Umbria Countryside makes sure to personalize everything according to the nature of the wedding ceremony and the preferences of the wedding couple: be it a sophisticated high profile event or a more intimate country chic ceremony, you can be sure that this is the perfect place for your celebration!

After the ceremony we went to take couple photos around the castle looking for the beautiful sunset light with warm tones. The region of Umbria is very beautiful and the castle of montignano a beautiful location.

Venue: Castello di Montignano

Wedding Photographer at Castello di Montignano are one of the most beautiful location in Umbria near Tuscany. CAstello di Montignano is stunning and cool.

From first arriving at Montignano it was great to feel so welcomed by the whole wedding party- the evening before we all shared a drink and some wonderful pizza laid on by the Castello.

It was lovely to get to know a few faces and names and really set me up for the next day. On the morning of the wedding the whole town was so quiet with just the venue staff starting to clear the streets for where the ceremony was to be held.

After the ceremony all the guests squeezed onto the steps on the Castello facade and we managed to get what is probably my favourite big group shot! Then as we took the ape car down the road a fuel tanker halted progress, but with all the guests giving a quick wave to a confused lorry driver we were on our way.

Shortly after it was nice to whisk the couple away for some photos on their own and watch the sunset from the top of the Castello.

We all enjoyed the fading light and a few drinks by the pool as we waited to be seated for our food. With some really great speeches and laughter to go with them the celebrations in the marquee were moved outside.

Everyone got involved with an avenue of sparklers and luckily I got some great photos of this moment despite almost being pushed into the pool by one of the more intoxicated wedding guests! From then on there was dancing, dancing, a bit more dancing and some pictures in the dark streets to finish the night.
